St Mary's 11.11.11 Reunion Souvenir Magazine

Hi Old Boys,

To commenorate the 11.11.11 Reunion by St Mary's Secondary School Class of 1970 (Form V) and 1968 (Form III), a colour souvenir magazine was compiled and printed by Francis Fong for those who attended the 11.11.11 Reunion Nite.

36 copies were printed (in colour) and given as a door gift to our Old Boys attending the Reunion Nite..... years later, no doubt, we would all treasure those fond memories highlighted in this magazine..

On behalf of all the Old Boys, we would like to thank Francis Fong for his magazine and his untiring efforts in making the Reunion a resounding success.

** Total of 31 Classmates who attended (per list) plus 2 absent Classmates (Sim Kang Loong + Chung Hee Meng) who paid in = 33 Classmates @ RM 100 each.

The cash donations were mainly used to buy the 18 fans plus installation cost donated to the school . The surplus also went to cover shortfall in reunion fees.. Seven (7) Old Boys who confirmed attendance, did not turn up on Reunion Nite . Of the 7, only 2 (Sim Kang Loong and Chung Hee Meng) paid for the Reunion Fee despite not being able to attend and had sent in their apology on Reunion Nite.

TQ to the Old Boys who had donated towards the cost of fans and to cover the deficit in reunion fee collection.

Of the seven (7), Chung Hee Meng and Sim Kang Loong were gracious and paid for the Reunion Dinner which they missed due to personal reasons and had conveyed their apology to the Organising Committee on Reunion Nite.

James Chai was in Town

James Chai was back in town to attend to some personal matters and Sin Ka Hiew, Victor Ng (back from Vancouver for the reunion), Francis Fong and Chong Shui Lun caught up with him in Kopitiam, Bandar Kim Fung on 18.11.11.

Steamboat Dinner - Ocean King Seafood

On 10.11.11, a steamboat dinner was hosted by Lawrence Chong Shui Kun at Ocean King Seafood in Bandar Ramai Ramai to welcome Hubert Hiew (Hong Kong), Richard Chan (Brisbane) , Robert Fu Ka Hung (Hong Kong), David Leong Yun Choi (K Kinabalu) home coming ... they flew into Sandakan early for the 11.11.11 Reunion.

Francis Fong, Chung Ket Chung, Jorgy Juana, Sin Ka Hiew were also invited by Lawrence Chong Shui Lun to grace the occasion.

Kar Choi Leica Lens - St Mary School Visit 11.11.11

Hi Old Boys

These shots on our school visit are from Kwan Kar Choi Leica lens.

Both Benedict Tai and Hubert Hiew are from St Mary Primary (Leila Road) School and see their reflective mood as they walked away after viewing their primary school.

The shots in the school canteen .. show the donated fans installed in the school canteen ...the School threw us a simple tea party of noodles, cakes and bottled water to show their apprciation of our donation of fans to the school.

The simple handover ceremony of fans was captured in a group photo taken in the canteen and later featured in the local Chinese Merdeka Daily News.
