SATAY PARTY - LOTUS RESTAURANT - DAH YEH - KK

On 14 October 2015, Kwan Kar Choi hosted a Satay Party to catch up with KK Old Boys on the latest happenings.

This is the 2nd time Kar Choi hosted the gathering - his first was Seafood Lunch in Kak Leng followed by this Satay Party.

Kon Sanfg hosted the 2nd Seafood Lunch in Kak Leng with Hee Meng hosting a Durian Feast as lunch dessert. Tommy hosted a Cocktail Dinner in Bukit Padanng Food Court too with Mooncake as dessert. More of Old Boys gatherings should come if KK Old Boys like it!

Khoo Puay Guan was unable to join us as he was celebrating a special occasion with his Love. Tommy Siew was flying from Burma to Thailand on a Solo Holiday and weren't able to attend. Sim Kang Loong was supposed to come but tied up in a meeting and apologized for his absence. The invitation was posted on the chat group and they responded and turned up at the Lotus Restaurant.

It was a smaller get together with Kwan Kar Choi, Chung Hee Meng, Wong Wan Kong, Leong Ming Yee and Chang Kon Sang.

We were there from 5.30-7.30 pm and the restaurant was packed and so Heee Meng choice was this popular eatery. We had pork satay and BBQ Fish over Tiger Beer.

We all reckoned Seafood Lunch in Kak Leng on a Saturday would be a good proposition with Satay Parties in between lunches to maintain our KK Old Boy network.

We thanked Hee Meng for coming up with the idea of a Satay Party and Kar Choi for hosting it on this public holiday (Start of the Muslim New Year).

Many thanks Kon Sang for this posting and for your relentless effort in keeping us diaspora updated from time to time. Right now, I'm dying for a taste of real Malaysian satay.
Regards to all,
Hubert
