It must be "cool" to look like a scholar in the 60s by donning thick rimmed glasses in school! Be "cool" (or look groovy ) in the eyes of all those adoring St Cecelia girls?

In the 60s, we all remembered the rage of the mini skirts popularised by Mary Quant and the outrageous spectacles worn by Elton John in UK.

Camillo, Edward and Victor were happy to remain " clear eyed "before the onslaught of those desirable creatures from across the school fence.

Whilst these photos are very much appreciated, it would be helpful if you could also let Clement know where and on what occasions they were taken. Another photo about which I have no knowledge again!

Again it was a very unfortunate of you all not to join our gang during the good old days. Photo was taken in front of the St, Mary's Church, Town after our class visit to Sepilok Orang Utan Centre at Mile 12. The same day when the photo at the Airport Roundabout was taken. After the visit, we went off from school to be on our own. Any one can recall ???

If my memory serves me right, I don't think Elton John has come into the scene yet. Also, I started wearing the slightly tinted glass lenses first.

Make life simple, just try to imagine that it was the cool look of James, Kar Choi and Robert in those glasses who became the role models for Elton John emerging later to don look alike spectacles to James, kar Choi and Robert.
Hubert, your glasses were NOT of the same class or look as theirs, tinted or otherwise.
I thought you and Tommy Siew went to the same optical shop for cheaper versions and later became joint founders of our sapi dog gang?
